TylerMerrick was looking for a partner and reached out to Ryan in the spring of 2022. Ryan is a YouTuber and former D1 athlete that loved candy and wanted to make better versions of them but needed a partner to help make it a reality. JOYRIDE is based in Austin - and so was Ryan - so things started to come together.

together they set out to revolutionize the candy experience and joined as Co-Owner and Chief Creative Officer in 2023.
